EPROM Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory
is a mature, high-density, nonvolatile technology which
provides a degree of updatability not found in ROM
FET Field Effect Transistor
FIFO First In / First Out memory
Flash EPROM Block Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory
which combines advantages from each of the above men-
tioned memory technologies. In embedded memory appli-
cations, Flash EPROM memory provides higher
performance for more flexibility then ROM and EPROM,
while providing higher density and better cost effective-
ness than battery-backed SRAM or EPROM.
