This camera uses a commercially available SD Memory Card,
SDHC Memory Card, or SDXC Memory Card. An SD Memory
Card with a built-in wireless LAN (Eye-Fi card) can also be
used. (In this manual, these cards are referred to as memory
cards.)

Make sure that the camera is turned off.

Slide the card cover

Insert the card all the way
with the memory card label
facing toward the monitor.
Push the memory card in once
to remove.

Close the card cover, and
slide it in the direction of

Caution
• Do not remove the memory card while the card access lamp
is lit.
• If the card cover is opened while the power is on, the camera
turns off. Do not open the cover while the camera is in use.
• Use this camera to format (initialize) a memory card that
is unused or has been used on other devices. (p.29)
• Use a high-speed memory card when recording movies.
If the write speed cannot keep up with the recording speed,
the writing may stop during recording.
