Selecting the Focus Mode

Standard
Select this mode when your subject is more than
approx. 40 cm (1.31 ft) away from the camera. When you
press the shutter release button halfway, the camera
automatically focuses on the subject within the focus frame.

Macro
Select this mode when your subject is located approx. 15 cm
to 50 cm (0.49 ft to 1.64 ft) away from the camera. When you
press the shutter release button halfway, the camera
automatically focuses on the subject within the focus frame.

Infinity
This mode is used for taking distant objects. The flash is set
to

(Flash Off).

Pan Focus
The pictures are taken as deep-focus (pan focus) shots. It is
useful when you ask someone to take pictures for you, or
take pictures from the window of a moving car or a train.
