The Pelican HeadsUp Lite
TM
is designed to provide hours of light for both close-up and distance operation.
NOTE: The LEDs will provide upwards of 80 hours of light. However,
the illumination will noticeably reduce after a period of a few hours.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1.
Rotate and pull off the battery door at the side of the light.
2.
Slide out the battery canister.
3.
Install the three AAA cell batteries as per the
decals in the canister.
4.
Align the marks on the battery door and the
body and twist to lock the door.
OPERATION
1.
Press the button once for the LEDs to illuminate.
2.
Press the button again for the Xenon lamp to illuminate.
3.
Press the button again to turn off the light.
HEADBAND ADJUSTMENT
The headband can be adjusted to suit by
sliding the adjusters to tighten or loosen the strap.
LAMP REPLACEMENT
1.
Unscrew the lens cover.
2.
Pull out the reflector and spring assembly.
3.
Pull out the lamp.
4.
Carefully slide the lamp pins into the holes and gently push the lamp home.
5.
Replace the reflector and lens cover.
6.
Turn on the lamp and focus the light by rotating the lens cover until the beam is uniform and round.
LED REPLACEMENT
The LEDs provide upwards of 10,000 hours of life and are not replaceable.
O-RING MAINTENANCE
Check closely for cuts, scratches, or otherwise damaged O-ring or mating lens lip surface. Remove any
dirt or foreign matter from O-ring sealing surfaces. Keep threads, O-ring groove and inside lip of lens lubricated
with silicone grease. See Warranty information for replacement of O-ring.

use. This guarantee does not cover shark bite, bear attack or damage caused by children under five.
