Setting up the cushion
TRINOVA CUSHION
If the system is operating with the mattress connected, disconnect the mattress from the
power unit (see mattress guide).The mattress will stay fully inflated for 24hrs. Mute any
alarms using the reset button.

Remove chair cushion and check chair base is in good condition and will support the
patient.
●
Place the TRINOVA cushion on the chair base, pushed to the back of the chair, air hose
at FRONT of cushion.
●
Connect air pipe to power unit by pushing in - DO NOT TURN. (
GREEN
dots on
connectors will line up).
●
Ensure the power unit is plugged in and switched on.
●
The Cushion Connected (seated patient graphic) light will illuminate on the power unit.
●
Wait until the cushion is fully inflated and operating (cycling) correctly before use
(approx 4 mins).
●
The cushion may feel firm at first until it has adjusted to the individual.This will take
about 10 mins.
●
Explain cushion operation to user, and ensure the user is comfortable and stable on the
cushion and chair.
