2. COMMISSIONING
Warning!
Before commissioning, read the “Safety Rules” section (clause 15).
2.1 APPLICATION ACCORDING TO PURPOSE
The welding machine is designed exclusively for: manual metal arc welding
with a stick electrode, welding with a non-consumable electrode in argon medium,
and semi-automatic welding in protective gas medium.
Other use of the machine is considered to be inappropriate. The manufacturer
is not liable for damage caused by misuse of the machine.
The use according to the intended purpose implies compliance with the
instructions in this operating manual.
2.2 PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS
The welding machine is protected from the penetration of foreign solid bodies
with a diameter of more than 10 mm.
The welding machine can be placed and operated outdoors. Internal electrical
parts of the machine are protected from direct exposure to moisture in the air, but
not from condensate droplets.
WARNING!
After the end of welding work in hot weather, or intensive
welding work in any weather, the machine cannot be switched off immediately! It
is necessary to allow the electronic components to cool for 5 minutes.
WARNING! After operation in the cold season, after switching off and
subsequent cooling of the machine, condensation forms inside, so it cannot be
switched on earlier than 3 ... 4 hours after the last shutdown!!!
Therefore, do not turn off the machine in a cold room if you plan to turn it on
earlier than after 4 hours (the machine consumes very little electricity at idle).
It is necessary to place the machine in such a way that unobstructed entry and
exit of cooling air through the ventilation holes on the front and rear panels is
ensured. Make sure that metal dust (for example, during emery grinding) is not
sucked in by the cooling fan directly into the machine.
WARNING! After a strong fall, the machine can be life-threatening, so it
must be installed on a stable solid surface.
2.3 POWER CONNECTION
The welding machine in the standard version is designed for a three-phase
mains voltage of 3x400 V (the neutral wire N of the supply mains cannot be used
for grounding).
