with cellulose type of coating (TsTs-1, WSTs-4A), it is recommended to set the
slope [CVC] to 0.2 ... 0.6 V/A and sometimes it is necessary to raise the «Arc-Force»
function [U.AF] up to a value of 18V. The order of changing the value of any
function in the current welding mode, see cl. 6.1.
3.6 SHORT ARC WELDING FUNCTION
This function is particularly relevant when welding ceiling joints, when it is
necessary that the arc should not be too stretched. For this, the machine provides
the ability to turn on the “Short Arc” [Sh.A] function in the “On” position. By
default, it is in the “OFF” position. The order of changing the value of any function
in the current welding mode, see cl. 6.1.
3.7 FUNCTION OF AN O
PEN‐CIRCUIT VOLTAGE REDUCTION UNIT
When carrying out welding works in tanks, capacities, and where an enhanced
electrical safety system is necessary, the
function of an open‐circuit voltage
reduction unit can be activated.
When the electrode is removed from the product, after 0.1 seconds the
voltage at the source terminals decreases to a safe level - below 12 V.
This requires a
function of an open‐circuit voltage reduction unit
[BSn], which
is in this model of equipment, but by default is in the “OFF” posi
tion, i.e. turned off,
because turning on any such function slightly worsens the arc ignition. The order of
changing the value of any function in the current welding mode, see cl. 6.1.
3.8 PULSE CURRENT WELDING FUNCTION
This function is intended to facilitate the welding process control in spatial
positions other than the lower one, as well as during non-ferrous metals welding.
The impact occurs directly on the mixing of the molten weld metal and on the
transfer of the drop into the weld pool, and this in turn affects the stability of the
weld formation and the welding process. In other words, this process to some
extent replaces the welder's hand movements, this is especially applicable when
welding in hard-to-reach places. The weld formation shape and quality depends on
the correct function setting, which reduces the likelihood of pores and reduces the
structure graininess, which in turn increases the welded joint strength.
To implement this function in the machine, you need to set three parameters:
puls
ating power [Po.P], pulsation frequency [Fr.P] and filling factor (or “duty
cycle”) [dut]. By default, the pulsating power [Po.P] as a key parameter is in the
“OFF” position, i.e. the function is turned off, and the pulsation frequency [Fr.P]
and “duty cycle” [dut] are at the most common values of 5.0 Hz and 50%,
respectively . To enable the function, it is enough to set the pulsating power [Po.P]
