Fairisle patterns
Fairisle is knitted on Lock setting A INI. You always knit two rows main colour and two rows trimming colour.
Proceed as follows:
Push all needles that have
no
cross on the first row of squares to Rest P osition****.
Knit one row Lock A Nil in main colour.
Push all needles that have
no
cross on the second row of squares to Rest Position****.
Knit one row Lock A INI in main colour.
Change colour. Push all needles that have a cross on the first row to Rest Position****. Knit one row Lock A INI in
trimming colour.
Push all needles that have a cross on the second row to Rest P osition****.
Knit one row Lock A INI in trimming colour.
Knit 3rd and 4th row of squares in the same way, and so on.
In our example we have knitted 4 rows in stocking stitch between the Fairisle motifs, on Lock B III.
