Introduction

The PASCO model PS-2570 SPARK Charging Station is
designed to work with a PASCO PS-2008 SPARK Science
Learning System. The Charging Station can hold up to ten
SPARK Science Learning Systems (SLS’s) at one time. It takes
approximately three hours to fully charge ten SPARK SLS’s.

The SPARK Charging Station includes a 60 watt switching
power adapter (100 - 240 VAC input and 12 VDC, 5.0 A output).
The Charging Station also has four compartments in the lower
section of the station that can be used for additional storage.

The Charging Station is under six pounds when empty and only
twenty pounds when loaded with ten SPARK SLS’s.

Operation

Connect the plug from the power adapter to the power input jack
on the Charging Station. The power input jack is at the midpoint
on the upper left edge of the station. Connect the power cord
from the power adapter to a compatible electrical receptacle.

Make sure that the SPARK SLS is

OFF

 before inserting it into

one of the slots of the Charging Station. Insert as many as ten
SPARK Science Learning Systems. Because the Charging Station
has a fixed regulated power suppy, it does not matter how many
of the ten slots are filled with SPARK Science Learning Systems.

As the SPARK SLS is charging, the light emitting diode (LED)
on the top right hand end of the SPARK will flash red. When the
SPARK is fully charged, the LED will shine green continuously.
The SPARK’s charging circuitry will disconnect itself from the
battery when fully charged.
