STARTING PROCEDURE
STARTING PROCEDURE
5
PULL START
Place the machine on a secure, firm, flat surface.
Pull the starter cord slowly until you feel the
resistance. Pull the starter cord quickly until the
machine starts. Allow the engine to run for 1 - 2
minutes to warm up.
Avoid letting go of the starter recoil on start up as it can potentially break the recoil handle.
Be aware that weather conditions and altitude may effect the carburettors efficiency.
A flooded engine can be rectified by removing the spark plug and drying it.
When restarting the engine immediately after stopping it, leave the choke open.
6
RUN ENGINE
Run the engine at idle speed until operating
temperature is reached (2 to 3 minutes).
As the engine warms up, open the choke gradually
by slowly pushing the choke down to the ‘OPEN’

When starting the machine from warm move
the choke into the open position.
Push the lever backwards towards the rear
handle of the machine.
SETTING THE CHOKE
