Chapter 5 – Maintenance

5.2.2 Preparing the scale for the drug database update

You must connect the AccuCount II scale to a PC using the USB Type-A to USB
Type-B cable that is provided with your scale before you can transfer a database to or
from the scale.

To prepare the scale for the drug database update

Connect the AccuCount II scale to the PC using the included USB cable.

The Type B (square) connector plugs into the back of the scale, and the Type A (wide) connects
to the PC.

Power on the AccuCount II scale.

NOTE

Ensure that the Interface RJ45 character set is set to ASCII (see “Interface RJ45” on
page 4-24).

5.2.3 Transferring a new database to the scale

Once the scale is connected to a PC that has the Drug Info Download tool, you can
transfer the new drug database to the AccuCount II.

To transfer a new database to the scale

On the PC, double-click the Drug Info Download tool icon on the Desktop or on the
Start Menu.

The Drug Info Download tool opens.
