Model Mechanical Switches
When the Two Position Switch (Figure 35) is in the Balance position, the worm and gear are
separated so the axis can rotate freely. When the switch is rotated to point at the star, the
mount is ready for normal operation.
Separate locking bolts must be installed lock the axis in place. See “Right Ascension Axis
Locking Hole (Paramount ME II Only)” on page 89 and “Declination Axis Locking Hole
(Paramount ME II Only)” on page 108 for details about locking the Paramount ME II axes.
