Filling the sump
To fill the conditioner with water, ensure
that the sump drain valve is closed and open
the customer-supplied external water inlet
valve. When the sump is filled to the proper
level, a mechanical float valve will
automatically shut off the flow and maintain
the proper water level during operation. The
float valve is preset at the factory to
maintain the proper level (1/2” above the
evaporator tubing); to change the water
level, adjust the angle of the float arm
slightly.
A low-water safety switch is located in the
front, left corner of the sump. This switch
will open when the water level is too low for
safe operation of the pump and water heater.
When the water level is correct, the float
switch will close and allow the controller to
resume operation of the unit.
NOTE
The conditioner will not operate until the low water level safety is satisfied.
CAUTION
The water fill valve float may be padded to prevent damage during
shipping. Remove the padding before connecting the water supply to the
inlet.
