General Information
These operating instructions describe the functions of the "
UT-300
" touchscreen control that can be
used for swivel milling machines of types
245 | 100, 245 | 200
and
245 | 300
.
Remark:
This manual only describes the functions for the user level of a machine operator. Fur-
ther resp. administrative functions and settings are not included. These are listed in a
separate document for administrators

Front Switches and Push Buttons
On the front panel of the UT-300 controller there are various switches and push buttons for the most
important main functions. These are described in the following table:
Action
Function
Rotary switch:
Position right = work / position left = Releasing the HSK-quick-changing system (option)
Cutter rotation left:
Rotation direction (left) for the milling cutter (changeover only at standstill possible)
Cutter rotation right:
Rotation direction (right) for the milling cutter (changeover only at standstill possible)
Switch on milling cutter:
Starts the milling with the preselected speed and rotary direction
Switch of milling counter:
Shuts the milling counter down (standstill)
Positioning:
If this key flash, the positioning is enabled. During the key is held down, the axis positions
until the defined target position is reached. If the key is released prematurely, position-
ing is stopped or interrupted.
Emergency stop:
Serves to immediately place the machine in a safe condition in the event of danger or to
avert danger. Pressing this button interrupts the machine power supply

all motors
and moving axes are stopped.
