In addition to providing ESD protection on the signals coming from the connector, this device performs
voltage translation on the control signals in the HDMI interface (SCL, SDA, CEC, and HPD) from the
1.8V levels of the OMAP4460 to the 5V levels required by a TV set. It also implements a DC/DC boost
converter that operates from the “battery” voltage, VBAT, and outputs a 5Vdc output that is capable of
sourcing up to 55mA of current. See Table 4 for the GPIOs used on the HDMI interface and a description
of their function. The direction column in this table indicates whether this device is an output from
OMAP (O) or an input to OMAP (I).
