Important:
The FI’s MIDI OUT must only ever be connected to the computer’s MIDI IN using
the
FI Input Device
option. If you were to connect the FI’s MIDI OUT to the computer’s MIDI
IN using the
Keyboard Input Device
option then that input device’s MIDI Thru feature would
cause an infinite MIDI loop.
The Menu Bar
Here you can find the tabs for switching between the

home to menu functions which apply to both the Manager and the Editor (except where
indicated otherwise). We have already covered the items found in the

section above; the remaining items are explained below.
The File Menu
The options in this menu are explained below.

Select Directory:
Specifies the location that the
uses for loading and saving
program files. (Note that this option has no function in the Manager.)

Load Program from File to Editor:
Loads a program from your computer into the
Editor. The FI v3 Editor can load program files that were created with a pre-v3 Editor
(*.prg), but will convert these to the v3 format (*.pr3) when saving.

Save Program from Editor to File:
Saves an edited program to your computer.
