The SD memory card must be inserted with the correct side facing the SD card slot. If the SD memory card is hard to insert, it may be reversed or
upside-down. Do not force it into the slot. Check the orientation of the card before reinserting it.

Cautions when using SD memory cards

On the camera, use SD memory cards that conform to the SD standard, SDHC standard, or the SDXC standard.

MMC (Multi Media Card) cannot be used. (Bear in mind that taking pictures may no longer be possible if you use them.)

When using miniSD/microSD cards with the camera, always install the adaptor specially designed for miniSD/microSD cards.
(The camera will not work properly if only the miniSD/microSD adaptor is inserted. Make sure that the card has been inserted into the adaptor
before use.)

Use of Panasonic SD memory cards and miniSD/microSD cards is recommended. Also, make sure that the format is performed on the camera.

SDHC memory cards are a standard that was established in 2006 by the SD Association for large-capacity memory cards that exceed 2 GB.

SDXC memory cards are a standard that was established in 2009 by the SD Association for large-capacity memory cards that exceed 32 GB.

The sub slot is used to read and write the proxy recording and also the setting data.
It may take some time to be recognized when inserted.
An error is displayed for the SD memory card with less than Class10, that cannot record proxy. It can be used for reading or writing the setting data.
Removing SD memory cards
Open the slot cover, confirm that the card slot access LED on the sub slot side is not flashing (flashing in orange or green), press the SD memory card
further in toward the camera, and let go. The SD memory card is released from the card slot, so pull out the SD memory card and close the slot cover.
Note the following points when using or storing memory cards.

Avoid high temperature and humidity.

Avoid water droplets.
f
Avoid charging with electricity.
Use the SD memory card inserted in the camera and the slot cover closed.
Performing operations on SD memory cards
If the SD memory card that was formatted in a standard other than the SD/SDHC/SDXC standards on a device other than the camera is inserted,
[LOAD] or [SAVE] operation of the file cannot be performed. Format the SD memory card again.
Formatting SD memory cards

Select [SUB SLOT] in [MENU]
→
[SYSTEM SETTINGS]
→
[CARDS/MEDIA]
→
[FORMAT MEDIA] and press the jog dial button.
The confirmation screen is displayed.

Select [YES] on the confirmation screen, and press the jog dial button.
When not formatting, select [NO], and press the jog dial button.

When the completion message is displayed, select [OK], and press the jog dial button.

Data deleted as a result of formatting cannot be restored. Always check the data before formatting.
Saving and reading the setup file
The specified menu item can be saved to the SD memory card and read into the camera.
There are two operations for saving to the SD memory card, [SAVE(SD CARD)] to overwrite the existing file and [SAVE AS(SD CARD)] to create a new
file.
To overwrite and save the setup file to the SD memory card

Select [SAVE(SD CARD)] in [MENU]
→
[FILE]
→
[SETUP FILE], and press the jog dial button.
The list of setup files currently saved in the SD memory card is displayed.

Select the file to overwrite and save from the file list.
The file name entry screen and the keyboard are displayed.

Enter the text to set with the keyboard.
It is saved as a new file when the file name is changed.

Select [OK] with the jog dial button and press the jog dial button.
The confirmation screen is displayed.

Select [YES] and press the jog dial button.
The file is saved and the file list is updated.
To save the setup file to the SD memory card as a new file

Select [SAVE AS(SD CARD)] in [MENU]
→
[FILE]
→
[SETUP FILE], and press the jog dial button.
The entry screen for the file name and title, and the keyboard are displayed.
A title name and a file name with month/date/hour/minute are displayed as the factory setting.
