Resetting the filter counter
1) Turn on the power of the projector.
2) Press the <MENU> button on the remote control or control panel.

screen is displayed.
3) Press

to select [PROJECTOR SETUP].
4) Press the <ENTER> button.

The
[PROJECTOR SETUP]
screen is displayed.
5) Press
as
to select [FILTER SETTING].
6) Press the <ENTER> button.

The
[FILTER SETTING]
screen is displayed.
7) Press
as
to select [FILTER COUNTER RESET], and press the <ENTER> button.
8) When the confirmation screen is displayed, press
qw
to select [OK], and press the <ENTER> button.

The [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu
→
[STATUS]
→
[FILTER COUNTER] is displayed as “0”.

When the projector is used without resetting the filter counter, the actual filter runtime (counter numeric value) will not be able to be
confirmed.
Replacing the unit
Filter
If dirt does not come off even after the air filter unit is maintained, it is time for the unit to be replaced.
The Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET-EMF330) is an optional accessory. To purchase the product, consult
your dealer.

Make sure to turn off the power before replacing the filter. (

Make sure that the projector is stable, and perform the maintenance in a safe place even if the filter falls accidentally.

The replacement cycle of the air filter unit varies greatly depending on the usage environment.
For the air filter unit
The section describes the replacement procedure of the standard air filter unit attached to the projector.
This air filter unit is the same as the Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET-EMF330) (accessory/optional
accessory).
1) Remove the air filter unit.

Refer to “Removing the air filter unit” (
page 222) of the standard air filter unit.
2) Attach the Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET-EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory) to the
projector.

Refer to “Attaching the air filter unit” (
page 223) of the standard air filter unit.
3) Reset the filter counter.

Refer to “Resetting the filter counter” (
page 224) of the standard air filter unit.
Attention

When switching on the projector, make sure that the air filter unit is attached. If it is not attached, the projector will suck in dirt and dust
causing a malfunction.
f
When the projector is used without the air filter unit attached, the filter indicator <FILTER> lights up in red.
f
When the projector is used without resetting the filter counter, the actual filter runtime (counter numeric value) will not be able to be
confirmed.
