Troubleshooting
SCSI
If trouble occurs when printing, scanning or duplicating using SCSI, confirm that the
ASPI Manager is installed. If the ASPI Manager is not installed, you must install it. It
is assumed that the Adaptec SCSI host adapter is installed.
■
Windows 3.1 users
Confirm that the SCSI host adapter is installed in your PC
correctly.
In CONFIG.SYS file, check the following setting.
DEVICE = ASPInDOS.SYS (n = 2, 4, 8 etc.)
If this setting does not exist in CONFIG.SYS, reinstall SCSI driver
using EZ-SCSI (refer to the SCSI host adapter users manual).
Confirm that the EZ-SCSI is installed in Windows 3.1. If Adaptec
EZ-SCSI program group does not exist, install SCSI driver using
EZ-SCSI (refer to SCSI host adapter users manual).
After finishing necessary procedure, restart PC and make sure
that the following message appears on your PC.
“ASPInDOS.SYS Installation successful”
Start Windows and confirm that the printer and/or scanner is
recognized by PC using SCSI utility in EZ-SCSI program group
or Show Configuration in KX-PS8000 Utilities program group.
If the printer and/or the scanner are not recognized, please refer
to KX-PS8000 Operating Instructions manual and recheck SCSI
ID or terminator settings.
