8.3.3 Reserving the fax transmission (Dual Access)
You can reserve a fax transmission even when the unit is receiving a fax or sending a fax from memory.
– Up to 3 reservations when sending
– Up to 4 reservations when receiving

Set the original during fax reception or fax memory transmission.

Enter the fax number using the dial keypad or address book.

Reserve the fax transmission.
When using the scanner glass, press Mx /START N to scan the 1st page.
R To scan the next page, place the document and press M OK/SET N . Repeat this until all the documents are
scanned, then press Mx /START N .
When using the automatic document feeder ( y ), press Mx /START N .
Note:
R If the document exceeds the memory capacity, the reservation for that document will be cancelled. You must send
the entire document manually.
8.3.4 Sending the same document to pre-programmed parties (Broadcast transmission) y
You can send the same document to multiple parties (up to 20). To use this feature, store the fax numbers into
broadcast memory (page 47).

If necessary, change the resolution (page 74) and the contrast (page 74).

Start the broadcast transmission.
When using the scanner glass, press Mx /START N to scan the 1st page.

scanned, then press Mx /START N .
When using the automatic document feeder ( y ), press Mx /START N .
Note:
R If you select “
FINE
” , “
SUPER FINE
” or “
PHOTO
” resolution, the number of pages that the unit can send will
decrease.
8.4 Preparation for receiving a fax
Depending on your situation, you can select the way you prefer to use your unit.
