Import firmware offline
Requirement: You have downloaded the current firmware version from www.ise.de
1.
Open the device website.
2.
Select <<Update firmware>> in the <<System>> menu bar.
3.
Select the <<Select file>> button.
4.
In Explorer, select the desired firmware file and confirm your selection with the <<Open>> button.
5.
Select the <<Update firmware>> button.
8.3.2 Compatibility between product database entry and firmware version
So that you can use the device's new functions, the version of the firmware used must be compatible
with the version of the device's application program in the project. The application program is part of the
product database entry.
Compatibility at a glance
The versions are fully compatible if the main version of the application program and firmware are iden

tical.
The version numbers are structured according to the following scheme: <Main version no.>.<Sub-ver
-
sion no.>
Example: Full compatibility with same main version numbers
• Firmware version: 2.3
• Application program version: 2.0
The application program version can be found in the ETS under <<Properties>> on
the tab <<Information>>
→
<<Application program>> under <<Program version>>.
