802.1X Supplicant Global Settings
In the following screen, you can configure a user-name and a password to
operate a switching hub as a supplicant. With the supplicant function of
802.1X, you can connect this device to the port, which configures the
IEEE802.1X function (port-based authentication) on a upper switching-
hub. Doing so enhances the security or countermeasure against
unauthorized-accesses.
Choose
Security > 802.1X > 802.1X Supplicant Global Settings
to
display the following window.

, you can configure
the following parameters.

to reflect the change.

User-name
Configure a user-name of the supplicant.
Password
Configure a supplicant-password.
Encrypting Password
Use the encrypted password when configuring it.
Authentication
Method
Choose an authentication method.
The options
available are as follows.
• md5- Set an authentication method to md5.
• peap-mschapv2 - Set an authentication method to
peap-mschapv2.
