5.10. Real Time Clock (RTC)
The LCD driver is controlled by setting the command register through the G2_Lite u-wire interface and an I/O line,
which distinguishes between command or data. To send data or a command to the display driver, the nCS2 line is
used for chip select. LCDA0 (I/0 3) is set high to send data and set low to send commands.
Clock Functions are provided by the Real Time Clock is built into G2_Lite. The module is synchronic by a 32.768 kHz
crystal and has a backup power source provided by a button capacitor.
G2_Lite has a clock auto compensation function to take into account any inaccuracies of the crystal. This is able to
calibrate out crystal tolerance / drift by writing to the compensation registers. This calibration can provide adjustments
555.6ppm in 0.0085 ppm increments.
