2. Getting Started - Power supply
●
Do not use any other AC adaptors except the supplied one. This may cause malfunction.
●
Do not use any other AC cables/AC mains leads except the supplied one. This may cause malfunction.
●
Turn off the camera before connecting or disconnecting the power plug.
●
Do not leave any metal items (such as clips) near the contact areas of the power plug. Otherwise, a fire and/or electric
shocks may be caused by short-circuiting or the resulting heat generated.
●
Do not use the AC adaptor and AC cable/AC mains lead with other devices. This may cause malfunction.
●
If there is a power outage or other problems with the electrical outlet, please reconnect the power plug.
●
Power is being consumed even if the camera is turned off. When the camera will not be used for a long time, remove the
power plug from the electrical outlet in order to save power.

Connect the [LAN] terminal of the camera and the PoE+ compatible switching hub
with a PoE+ compatible LAN cable.
●
For the cable that connects to the LAN terminal, use the one below.
– LAN cable (STP (Shielded Twisted Pair), category 5e or above, maximum 100 m (328 feet))
●
Use a PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at compliant) compatible switching hub or power supplying device.

(Not all PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at compliant) compatible device operations are guaranteed.)
*
1
Make sure it complies with the safety standards IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1. If you are uncertain on whether or not it
complies with the safety standards, please contact the manufacturer of the switching hub or power supplying device.
●
You cannot use a PoE (IEEE 802.3af compliant) switching hub or power supplying device.
●
After turning the camera on, when the device or cable used is determined PoE+ incompatible by the camera, the camera
automatically turns off. (Determining may take approximately 3 minutes.)
●
The camera’s Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth connection, and USB connection cannot be used while supplying power with
PoE+.
●
If you connect a PC to a switching hub that supplies power to the camera with PoE+ via a LAN cable, you can remotely
control the camera with the software “LUMIX Tether” while supplying power to the camera with PoE+.
