Video CD
A CD with video data recorded. Also refers to the recording format. Movies and other video
contents are compressed using MPEG1 (
) and stored on a CD. Video CD
contents can be played back on a DVD player/recorder that accommodates this format. Video
CDs can also be played back on a computer using MPEG decoder software. Movies and
Video CDs containing karaoke and a variety of other contents are also available.

WEP
– Wired Equivalent
Privacy
An encryption technology used for Wireless LAN (below). To protect security during
information transmissions, communication can only occur when the same network key

Wireless LAN
