7-8. CUE Noise Cancel Adjustment

SPEC. Noise level = Less than -40dBu
<Use Audio Analyzer>
1. Open the SERVICE MENU. (Refer to SEC1
Service Information.)
2. Select the G00: AUDIO ADJUST and press the
“SET” button to open the AUDIO ADJUST
MENU.
3. Set the G09 LINE OUT CUE to ON.
<Caution>
During this adjustment, do not close the Service Menu.
The setting of G09 LINE OUT CUE will be reset to
OFF automatically.

Place the unit in the no audio mode and record
few minute (50M mode).
5. Set the Audio analyzer as follows.
MEASURE : BANDPASS
BP/BR FREQ : 600Hz or 300Hz
FILTER :
OFF
6. Set BP/BR FREQ to 600Hz and playback the no
audio portion.
7. Adjust VR5007 and VR5004 alternately so that
the noise level of CH1 out is minimized. And
confirm the noise level is in the specification.
8. Place the unit in the no audio mode and record
few minute (25M mode).
9. Set BP/BR FREQ to 300Hz and playback the no
audio portion.
10. Adjust VR5009 and VR5003 alternately so that
the noise level of CH1 out is minimized. And
confirm the noise level is in the specification.
<Use Oscilloscope>
1. Open the SERVICE MENU. (Refer to SEC1
Service Information.)
2. Select the G00: AUDIO ADJUST and press the
“SET” button to open the AUDIO ADJUST
MENU.
3. Set the G09 LINE OUT CUE to ON.
<Caution>
During this adjustment, do not close the Service Menu.
The setting of G09 LINE OUT CUE will be reset to
OFF automatically.

Connect the oscilloscope CH1 to Audio CH1 out.
5. Place the unit in the no audio mode and record
few minute (50M mode).
6. Playback the no audio portion and adjust
VR5007 and VR5004 alternately so that the
noise level (A) of CH1 out is minimized.
7. Place the unit in the no audio mode and record
few minute (25M mode).
8. Playback the no audio portion and adjust
VR5009 and VR5003 alternately so that the
noise level (A) of CH1 out is minimized.
