Lock Firmware Update
● You can use the Kapture App to update the lock firmware and check if the latest
version exists through Kapture Cloud.
● The app is able to update the lock firmware when the smartphone is in connect with
the lock via the Bluetooth. Please make sure the smartphone is close enough to the
lock and leave before ensuring a successful update message shown on the app
when updating the lock firmware.
Install/Remove LINK
● You can find the LINK installation function on the Kapture App which is already
paired to a lock.
● The QR code is on the socket side and the packing box. You will need to scan the
QR code to pair the LINK to the lock.
● Before goes further, please ensure the LINK is plugged firmly. No barriers between
the LINK and the lock to have a good Bluetooth connection(the distance should be in
5~10 meters).
● Both the account and password of the home Wifi AP is needed when setting the
LINK.
● The LINK has a button with the Kapture icon on the front and a LED on the upper.
Below are the LINK UI.
○ The following functions on the power on with the Led flashing once in green.
○ The led lights in red before the pairing.
○ Long press the Kapture button for 5 seconds makes the LINK return to factory
default. The Led flashes in red rapidly.
○ The Led flashes in green rapidly when finding the Wifi AP.
○ The Led flashes in red slowly when the LINK is connected to the Wifi AP but
the lock.
○ The Led flashes in green slowly. Success pairing.
○ The Led flashes in green rapidly. The LINK is transmitting the data.
● After completing the pairing, a Wifi icon will pop up on the app to the lock you set.
The Wifi icon shows on the access page in the app and tells the availability to the
lock through the app.
● Remove the LINK on the Kapture App first, and have a long-press to the button to
re-pair the LINK. The lock goes to Stand-Alone Mode if the LINK is removed.
● After completing the pairing, the Owner and Family can manage the real-time
notification settings and can receive the push notification from the lock.

● Please ensure the Kapture App notification will not be blocked from your smartphone
settings.
