PANEL DESCRIPTION
1
GAIN CONTROL
Provides up to 25 dB of clean boost fully clockwise to add more gain to your signal while maintaining your
original tone.
NOTE: Despite the simple one-knob-only design, the PEPBOOST can be used for a variety of purposes.
a) Put it in front of a non-master volume amp for more ouput, power amp distortion and natural compression.
b) With a master volume amp, you can set the preamp gain fairly high and kick in the PEPBOOST for even
more gain and a rich, sustaining tone (yet without an overly dramatic volume increase) while the master
controls the output level.
c) Use the PEPBOOST to overload the input of overdrive and distortion pedals for thick, saturated sounds with
lots of compression, again without a major volume increase, or use it at the end of your effects chain for a
linear, uncolored level boost.
2
LED STATUS INDICATOR
Lights when the effect is switched on. This LED also doubles as battery level indicator when the pedal is
battery powered. When the LED goes dim or no longer lights while the effect is activated the battery is
drained and needs replacing.
3
ON/OFF FOOTSWITCH
Activates the effect or switches the pedal to bypass mode.
4
INPUT
Use a quality instrument or patch cable with 1/4” plugs to connect your guitar or the output of another
effects pedal to this jack.
5
OUTPUT
Use a quality instrument or patch cable with 1/4” plugs to connect this jack to the input of your amplifier or
that of the next stomp box in your signal chain.
6
9V DC INPUT
For mains operation, connect an optional 9 Volt DC power adapter to this barrel style jack (e.g. Palmer PW9V). Please
refer to “POWER REQUIREMENTS” for details.
