Problem

Solution

The installation menu did not 
appear when I inserted the 
Software Installation CD-ROM 
(or the Software Essentials CD-
ROM) into my Windows 
computer.

Try the following:

From the Windows desktop, click Start.

Click Browse.

Locate your CD-ROM drive, and then select the 
Autorun file.

I cannot install Palm Desktop

Disable any virus-scanning software on your computer.

Close any open applications.

3.

Make sure your computer has at least 50 megabytes (MB) of

Run ScanDisk (or another disk verification tool) on your

Install the latest Windows software updates to your
