BlueChat functionality
After you have connected with a partner, you can use BlueChat functions to
exchange text messages in real time.
Active area
Displays text messages and graphics being sent between the
host and the partner.
Also displays the following system messages:

<Connected>:
Indicates that the chat session has begun.
■
<user name> disconnected:
Indicates that a user has
ended the chat session.
■
<Lost connection>:
Indicates connection has been
dropped due to interference, user moving out of range, or
other problem.
Input area
Displays text messages and graphics being entered before
they are sent to another user.
Send button
Takes the current text/graphic message in the input area and
sends it to the other user. The message is then displayed in
the active area of both handhelds.
Frequent phrase
button
Stores frequently entered phrases; see the steps on using the
frequent phrase button later in this chapter.
Graphics button
Enables the user to append graphics to text message; see the
steps on using the Graphics button later in this chapter.
End button
Ends the connection between the host and the partner.
Chat partner name
Displays the chat partner’s handheld name.
