prevent anomalous operations and to avert the danger of
fire of the unburned matter deposited on the inner walls
of the chimney.
Pay particular attention to the passage of the fumes
system through wood roofs or walls for which it is
necessary to use special certified components.
6.4 Connection to the chimney
The dimensioning of the chimney should be carried out
in accordance with EN 13384-1.
The
smoke channel
between the furnace and the
flue should have the same section of the outlet of the
fumes of the stove. The flue must be sealed and the
use of flexible extendible metal pipes is prohibited.
To connect the stove to the chimney, it is possible to
make at most 3 changes of direction not greater than
90°, with the length of the flue no greater than 2 meters
in horizontal projection and a maximum of 3 meters in
total. (Fig. 6.1).
In case of exit from the top, make sure that the first
vertical segment is at least 50 cm long before operating
a change of direction.
Follow the instructions given in the data sheet regarding
the value of the chimney draw.
6.5 External air intake
It is compulsory to provide an external air intake
for ensuring the flow of combustion air to the stove
(Fig. 6.2).
The size of the hole must respect the values prescribed in
the technical data table reported in “Product Handbook”.
It is forbidden to take combustion air from garages,
warehouses of combustible material or premises that
are subjects to risk of fire.
The intake of the combustion air must be protected with
anti-insect netting and must be positioned in such a way
as not to be accidentally obstructed, and realized in such
a way that the useful surface of the passage ensures
the supply of the right amount of oxygen to the furnace.
If in the room where the stove is located are operating
one or more extraction fans (suction hoods) and/or other
heating equipment, malfunctions to the combustion
caused by a shortage of combustion air may occur.
