Introduction

This section shows how to connect your PC’s RS-232 port to the
5345/5445.

J3 Connections

Build the cable to connect to your computer or terminal by
referring to the documentation for the device. Standard RS-232
pinouts for IBM compatible personal computers are shown as
follows.

Note: Pinouts vary among computer manufacturers. Check the
hardware reference manual for your machine before wiring the
serial port.
