Installation:

•

Unit requires 4 X C alkaline batteries (not included). Use
fresh batteries. Do not mix brands or age of batteries.

•

Remove battery-box by turning Glowstone™ upside
down and rotating base/battery-box counter-clockwise.

Gently

 remove base/battery-box from stone body.

Do

not strain

 cable connection.

•

If necessary, disconnect cable from battery-box by
pulling straight up on cable.

Batteries can be installed

without disconnecting the cable (recommended).

•

Open battery-box cover by unhooking long tab. Use a
screwdriver to “pop” tab to avoid injury. Do not damage
tab by applying too much pressure.

•

Insert 4 fresh C batteries observing polarity diagram in
base of battery-box.

•

Re-attach battery-box cover insuring a tight seal.

•

If desired, change bulb illumination timer by removing
rubber cap and moving switch with a small screwdriver.
Set to 5, 15, or 30 seconds. Unit comes pre-set at 15
seconds. Re-attach rubber cap ensuring a tight seal.

•

Ensure bulb is tight and bulb seal is in place.

•

If disconnected, reconnect cable. Note connector is
“keyed” to only fit one way. Ensure seal for cable
connection is firmly pressed against the battery-box.

•

Replace base/battery-box by fitting pins into holes in the
stone body. Rotate clockwise until snug. Note base is
shaped to match stone body. If the shape does not
match after the base is replaced, it is backwards.
Remove, rotate 1/2  turn and re-attach.

•

Place Glowstone™ on dry ground. Do not place in dips
or ruts where rainwater might collect.

•

Aim PIR motion sensor (white “eye” shaped dome) at
the target area.

Use:

•

Unit will not illuminate in daylight. An internal light
sensor will activate the unit at dusk and deactivate
at dawn.

•

Unit will detect passers by at a range of up to 12 feet
and illuminate momentarily. This range will vary
according to surroundings.

•

Experiment with placement and aim of PIR motion
sensor to achieve desired results.

•

Bulb illumination timer will affect battery life. We
recommend leaving it set at 15 seconds. For longer
illumination set to 30 seconds. For very short
illumination set to 5 seconds.

•

If you note a dimming of the lamp, or no illumination,
replace batteries. Discard exhausted batteries properly.
