Safety
The User Manual and Installation Manual are part of the automotive lift. Before using
the automotive lift for the first time, you must read this manual.
Always store the manual in a place that is easily accessible, so that the servicing and
maintenance schedules are complied with.
•
The automotive lift may only be used by persons who have undergone thorough
training in how to use and maintain the automotive lift.
•
The automotive lift must not be installed where there is a very large differences
in temperature. The automotive lift cannot tolerate becoming very wet.
•
When repairing the automotive lift, the power must be disconnected at all times.
•
NB: Do not overload the automotive lift – the maximum load is stated on the
rating plate.
•
Never lift a car when there are people inside it.
•
Always keep the area around the automotive lift tidy.
•
Position the lifting arms under the vehicle at the points stated by the vehicle
manufacturer. Ensure that the lifting arms are in a locked position.
•
Note that when removing large, heavy items e.g. an engine or gearbox, the
balance point of the vehicle can move.
•
Remember to swing the lifting arms out before moving the vehicle away from
the automotive lift.
•
Read and understand the safety instructions on the side of the automotive lift.
•
The safety devices must never be disabled.
•
Use hydraulic oil of the type HVI 32 or HVI 46 for the automotive lift.
