Operation
1.
Remember: It is important that you read and follow the safety labels on the three-
point hitch woodchipper. Clean or replace any safety label if it cannot be clearly read
and understood. The safe operation of this machine is completely dependent upon the
operator.
2.
All moving parts are potentially hazardous. Nothing can replace a careful, safe and
responsible operator who knows the potential hazards and who follows and abides by
the safety measures. The manufacturer has designed this three-point hitch
woodchipper to be used with all of its safety equipment correctly attached to minimise
the risk of accidents. Read this user manual to make sure that all safety equipment is
attached.
3.
Close and secure the rotor cover before commissioning.
4.
Close and secure all guards, deflectors and shields before starting and commissioning
the machine.
5.
Read and understand the user manual before starting. Review all of the safety
instructions once a year.
6.
The wearing of personal protective equipment, incl. helmet, safety goggles, safety
footwear and gloves is recommended when fitting, operating, adjusting, repairing,
dismantling, cleaning and transporting the machine.
Securely fasten, cover over and
protect long hair so that it cannot become caught, snagged or trapped
, and avoid the
wearing of loose-fitting clothing or jewellery in the vicinity of the machine.
7.
Keep hydraulic hoses and fittings secure and in good condition and free of leaks.
8.
Never place body parts where they can be exposed to hazards if there is movement in
connection with fitting, installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, dismantling or
moving.
9.
Switch off the machine, stop and switch off the engine, remove the ignition key,
activate the parking brake and wait until all moving parts have stopped moving, before
carrying out service, adjustments, repairs or dismantling.
10.
Never operate the machine inside a closed building as this will otherwise risk
suffocation from the engine’s exhaust gases.
11.
Exercise caution when feeding material into the woodchipper. Do not feed metal,
bottles, cans, stone, glass or other materials into the woodchipper. If other materials
enter the woodchipper, stop the machine, switch off the engine, remove the ignition
key, and wait until all moving parts have come to a standstill before removing the
material. Inspect the machine for damage and loose parts before using the machine
again.
12.
Do not consume alcohol or substances that can affect your attention or coordination
when using the machine. Contact your doctor with regard to the use of the machine in
relation to taking prescription medicine.
