Chain sprocket
Inspect for cracks and significant wear that affects the chain
drive. If there is significant wear, replace the chain sprocket with
a new chain sprocket. Never fit a new chain on a worn chain
sprocket or fit a worn chain on a new chain sprocket.
Saw chain
WARNING
It is very import for even and safe operation that the teeth of the chain
are always kept sharp.
The teeth of the chain must be sharpened when:
1.
Sawdust becomes powder-like.
2.
A higher pressure must be applied to the chainsaw in order to saw.
3.
The cut is not straight.
4.
Vibrations increase.
5.
Fuel consumption increases.

Before filing:
•
Ensure that the saw chain is securely attached.
•
Make sure the engine has stopped.
•
Use a round file of the correct size for the chain.
Place the file on the cutting teeth and push straight forward. Hold the file in the
position shown in the
