Change of engine oil
•
The used oil is drained while the motor is still hot - warn oil drains faster and more
thoroughly.
•
Wipe the oil filler area and then remove the oil filler cap/ dipstick.
•
Place a suitable container next to the sweeper and tilt the machine to the right. The
used oil will now flow through the oil filler neck. Allow the oil to drain completely.
Be sure to dispose of used oil and containers according to the applicable guidelines.
•
Add recommended oil. Be careful not to overfill. Wait a couple of minutes and let the
oil settle before the oil level is measured.
Maintenance of air filter
Note - Use of the machine without an air filter or with a damaged air filter can
cause dirt to penetrate the engine and cause rapid wear of the engine.
•
Push the cover taps on the cover
down and remove the cover.
•
Remove the filter from the air filter
base.
•
Check the filter and foam element
and replace it if damage is
observed.
•
Clean the filter by tapping it
against a hard surface to remove
loose dirt and then breathe air
through the inside of the filter.
Never attempt to brush off dirt as
it will force dirt into the fibers.
•
Wipe dirt from the inside of the air cleaner base and cover with a damp cloth. Avoid
dirt entering the ventilation duct that leads to the carburetor.
•
Reinstall the filter and cover.
