SAFETY INFORMATION
Do note remove or replace the top
cover with the engine running.
Hot parts
!
DANGER
During and after operation, engine
parts could be hot enough to
cause burns. Do not touch any
parts under the top cover until the
engine has cooled off.
Electric parts
!
DANGER
Do not touch any electrical parts
while starting the engine. They
can cause shock or electrocution.
Engine shut-off switch and cord
!
DANGER
The purpose of a lanyard stop
switch is to stop the engine when
the operator moves far enough
away from the operator’s position
to activate the switch.
Attach the engine shut-off cord
so that the engine stops if the
operator falls overboard or leaves
the helm.
When activating the engine
shut-off switch the engine will
stop immediately, but the boat
will continue to coast for some
distance depending on velocity
and degree of any turn at shut
down.
Safety and operating information
that is practiced, along with good
common sense, can help prevent
personal injury and product damage.
