4 Hardware & Software Interfaces
Host Interface – SATA III
The RDX
SATA III Drive interfaces to the Host computer via a standard SATA receptacle. The
table below summarizes the signals on the SATA Host connector.
Software Interface
The device uses the ATAPI command set to transport SCSI commands over the interface. RDX
is
a block-access device and the Host computer has direct access to each logical block. File system
management is controlled by the Host computer.
The following software interface speeds are supported for the RDX QuikStor SATA III product:
•
SATA III with an internal interface speed of 6Gbps
•
SATA II with an internal interface speed of 3Gbps
•
SATA I with an internal interface speed of 1.5Gbps
