is an emergency radiolocation signal transmitter.
It could only be operated in the case of life-threatening.

AIS-SART transmits a low-level RF signal

and after activation, it couldn't
be covered by anything within the antenna area.

False alarms are life-threatening and will cause damage to search and
rescue operations.
Abuse of AIS-SART may result in the penalty.

If the shield is damaged, AIS-SART couldn't comply with SOLAS
regulations and should be repaired or replaced.
