These instructions for use provide you with important information on the use, adaptation and
handling of the product.
2 Product description
2.1 Function
The product serves to provide power to a prosthesis.
The product consists of several components. These components are inseparable and ready for
mounting.
2.2 Components
The product consists of the following components:
Rechargeable battery
The battery (see fig. 1, item 1) consists of two cells with integrated electronics. The electronics
protect the battery against short circuits, overvoltage, undervoltage and charging outside the
allowable temperature range.
Charging receptacle
The charging receptacle (see fig. 1, item 2) has the following functions:
•
Contact for charging the battery
• LED to indicate the current charge level
• LED for providing feedback on operating states
• Button for turning the prosthesis on and off, checking the charge level and emergency open­
ing of the prosthesis
• Beeper for providing feedback on operating states
• Button to activate the Bluetooth function
Communication cable
The communication cable (see fig. 1, item 3) is used to exchange data and connects the respect­
ive prosthetic components to the product.
Connection cable
The connection cable (see fig. 1, item 4) is used to connect the 13E500 AxonMaster. When the
battery is used in an elbow joint, the forearm cable of the flexion aid (AFB) is connected to this
connection cable.
