Reflex Decay - procedure

Note

•

To avoid automatic testing being interrupted because of high stimulus intensity levels when reaching the

warning limits, it is recommended that you set the max. intensity to 95 dB HL.

Procedure

1. Press

On

/

Off

briefly to select the Reflex Decay test screen.

This screen opens up in automatic mode.

The initial reflex decay test screen is shown with ipsilateral 1 kHz stimulus
highlighted.

Warning

•

If the patient is troubled by the test, stop the test. The test is

interrupted and the pump pressure is relieved immediately.Already meas-
ured results are kept.

Automatic RT testing

–

Press the right-hand softkey to start a fully automatic reflex decay measurement for all pre-
set stimuli.

Manual RD testing

–

Press the right-hand softkey.

–

If needed, repeat testing of more stimulus levels.

–

Scroll to the needed stimulus type and press

Select

to activate manual test mode.

–

Scroll to select the stimulus level for a single presentation.

–

Press the right-hand softkey.

Each measurement stops automatically at the end of each stimulus presentation.

If needed, repeat testing of more stimulus levels.

–

To test another level, use the scroll wheel to scroll to the next stimulus level.
