Combined (Electrode Cable - Ear Coupler Cable)

Every day before you start testing on patients, you can test the electrode cable and ear coupler cable to make sure that
they function correctly. The combined test consists of two parts:

1. An automatic test to check whether there is a cable breakage on either the ear coupler cable or the electrode cable.

2. A manual listening test to make sure the ear coupler adapters are not clogged.

Automatic test

1. Clip the electrode clips onto the metal bars of the ABR Tester.

2. Insert the ear coupler adapters into the sockets at each end of the ABR

Tester.

3. Press the

Combined

button on the

Quality Tests

screen.

If the message

All tests OK

appears, the electrode cables and ear coupler

cables function correctly.

If the message

Test FAILED

appears, one or several electrode cables and/or

ear coupler cables do not function correctly.

4. Press the

button to confirm the test result.
