Calibration
The Otoport is a precision instrument designed to make accurate
measurements of OAE & ABR responses. Before it leaves Otodynamics,
each system supplied is calibrated using high quality acoustic measuring
equipment traceable to national standards.
Users should conduct the recommended weekly checks (see chapter
17
) to
ensure the instrument is working correctly. In addition to this, the calibration
of the instrument should be periodically checked with laboratory equipment.
Otodynamics advises regular calibration checks at intervals not exceeding
3 years and ideally annually.
The
About
screen displays the calibration due date for your Otoport, if a
date has been set (see section
15.4.5
). A prompt when switching on will
warn that calibration is due from 30 days before the due date.
Contact your dealer or Otodynamics to arrange a calibration check.
