7. Preparations for welding
7.1 Power connection
The CPTX 270/CPTX 330 MIG welders are equipped with a standard cable and plug for
3x400V and 50Hz, and can be connected to any, for thus voltage designed socket contacts
which are connected with appropriate protection.
When connecting the switch must be set to "0"!
7.2 Wire spool
The wire spool must be attached on to the hub. Make sure the correct direction of the wire!
7.3 Inching of the wire
To avoid potential problems during wire inching, the wire must be bent before the insertion.
Now, loose the spring by turning the screw slightly and separate the feed roller by the
pressure roller. Check if the selected feed roll matches the wire diameter. If this is not the
case, you have to turn over the feed roll. Then you have to push the wire through the two
roles into the liner. Press the feed roller to the pressure roller and tighten the screw until the
wire is not grinding between the rollers.
7.4 Gas cylinder
Attach the gas cylinder (20l) with the chain at the bottom of the unit. Now remove the cap
and attach the pressure regulator to the bottle so that no gas can escape. Then you have to
attach the hose and fix the connection with the nut bolt.
