OH5/KH5 KNEE
The Össur knee joint OH5/KH5 Knee is a polyaxial polycentric knee joint with a stable aluminium frame
construction. It is suitable for users in mobility classes 3 and 4. The OH5/KH5 Knee is approved for a maximum
body weight of 100 kg.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
The OH5/KH5 Knee is designed for patients with transfemoral and knee disarticulation amputation.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR USE

Control of the swing phase is actively supported by an integrated, high-performance hydraulic system. Flexion and
extension can be adjusted separately by three valves to meet the needs of the user. The stance phase is secured by
the polyaxial construction. This offers a high degree of safety when walking and enables prosthesis alignment
without shortening.
Proximal adaptation can be achieved in a number of ways
• OH5 Knee with a pyramid adapter
• OH5 Knee with an IKF adapter
• KH5 Knee with a loop adapter
• KH5 Knee with a 3-arm socket adapter (particularly suitable for interim sockets)
For all adaptation options, the knee joints are infinitely adjustable by up to 5 mm in the AP/ML directions and can
be rotated without limitation (exception: IKF-Adapter). In addition, the flexion/extension angle and/or the
adduction/abduction angle of the KH5 Knee with loop adapter, can be corrected by up to max. 10° by using the
adjusting discs supplied. All the alignment adjustments can be carried out during the fitting phase or at any other
later point in time.
The OH5 Knee with IKF adapter emulates the anatomical angle of strike of about 5 - 11° without deactivating the
safe knee joint geometry. Using the IKF adapter reduces stress on the joint chain and gives the user a secure and
energy-saving gait. The adapter also makes walking on gradual slopes and uneven ground considerably easier and
safer. A number of different progressive buffers are available that can be varied individually depending on the
walking habits of the prosthesis user. The IKF adapter can be used for all mobility classes.
