8. Apply the AMS Wrap and the Comfort Pad (I) as needed
9. Ensure the patella remains exposed and that the medial and lateral
hinges are aligned just above mid-patella and at midline of the leg.
10. Secure the buckles and fasten and tighten straps, starting with the
buckles closest to the knee. Straps may be trimmed if necessary; the
trimmed ends may be secured using the white hook tab on the
underside of the strap.
11. Remove the Brace Expander
12. To adjust range of motion, press the flexion or extension button and
rotate it until the arrow is pointing at the desired position and release.
13. To prevent readjustment of flexion and extension settings, insert
supplied ROM Locks (H) into the holes in the flexion and extension
buttons to prevent depression of the buttons and inadvertent changes
in ROM settings.
14. To remove the brace, release the buckles. The brace can then be
removed and reapplied as a single unit. To adjust straps, disengage
velcro on foam pad from strap and expose white hook.
ONE-TOUCH™ DROP-LOCK INSTRUCTIONS
To set the drop lock, determine the desired lock angle. Align the setting
arrow on the hinge to the appropriate angle as marked on the lower side
bar sleeve. Slide the drop lock button toward the center of the hinge to
lock the angle of the hinge.
NOTE
The side bars may be contoured to fit individual anatomy. Side bars must
be contoured with final length adjustments completed and with metal
struts installed in the plastic sleeves. Contouring is best accomplished
with the use of bending irons.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
This product may be cleaned using a mild detergent and cold water
(30ºC/86ºF) Remove pads and straps and wash separately. Do not
immerse hinge & uprights assembly in water. Do not use bleach or
strong detergents. Do not wash in washing machine or place in dryer.
