3.13 PARKING AND STOWING MACHINE
1.
Drive the machine to a well-protected and well-ventilated
area.
2.
Ensure the platform is fully lowered.
NOTICE
WHEN THE MACHINE IS SHUT DOWN FOR OVERNIGHT PARKING OR BATTERY CHARGING,
THE EMERGENCY STOP AND POWER SELECT SWITCHES MUST BE POSITIONED TO OFF TO
PREVENT DRAINING THE BATTERIES.

At the ground control station, turn the platform - ground
selector key switch to OFF and remove the key to disable the
machine and prevent unauthorized use.
NOTE:
For added protection, the platform control station can be
secured to its mounting plate.
Also the side compartment doors can be secured by placing a
padlock through the holes provided just below the door latch on
each door.
At the ground control station, depress emergency stop switch to the
off position.
If necessary, cover the platform control box, instruction placards, cau
-
tion and warning decals so that they will be protected from hostile
environment.
Chock at least two wheels when parking the machine for an
extended period of time.
To prevent unauthorized removal, the platform control station
can be secured to its mount by replacing the lock pin located on
its mounting tab with a keyed or combination lock.
