3. Shut down Emergency Stop at Platform Controls.
4. Shut down Emergency Stop at Ground Controls. Posi-
tion Platform/Ground Select switch to center OFF.
5. If necessary, cover Platform Controls to protect instruc-
tion placards, warning decals, and operating controls
from hostile environment.
4.10 LIFTING AND TIE DOWN
(See Figure 4-5.)
Lifting
1. Refer to the Serial Number Plate, refer to the Specifica-
tions section of this manual, or weigh the individual unit
to find out the Gross Vehicle Weight.
2. Place the boom in the stowed position.
3. Remove all loose items from the machine.
4. Properly adjust the rigging to prevent damage to the
machine and so the machine remains level.
Tie Down
WHEN TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE, THE BOOM MUST BE FULLY
LOWERED INTO THE BOOM REST.
1. Place the boom in the stowed position.
2. Remove all loose items from the machine.
3. Secure the chassis and the platform using straps or
chains of adequate strength.
