Air Intake System
A. Air Filter Check
1. Perform “Shut-Down Procedure” on page 4-3.
2. Locate precleaner ( 1 ) on top of engine cover, loosen wing nut ( 2 ) and remove
cover ( 3 ) from precleaner canister.
3. Remove dust from bowl.
4. Replace bowl and secure cover.
5. Open engine cover.
6. Locate air cleaner ( 4 ) and remove dust from vacuator valve ( 5 ) by squeezing
bottom of valve to allow loose particles to fall out.
7. Close and secure engine cover.
Note: Only remove canister cover to service the elements as restriction indicator
indicates. Excessive access to check an element can lead to premature element
failure.
